Right now, I’m preparing for my future. Right now, she’s preparing for her future. I love her dearly. She’s going to apply for a college away from home. I’m going to be stationed away from home and in time, deployed and fighting in a foreign land.

Yesterday I completed basic training. 9 weeks of training to becoming a soldier. This morning we woke up and did the usual thing. We ate breakfast then we got ready to go downstairs to see our families. We formed up along the side of the barracks. Senior drill sergeant called us to attention as we were already in formation.
